‘Yves Klein, the infinite blue’ pays tribute to this major 20th-century artist, who wanted to turn his life into a work of art. In around ten minutes, visitors will discover the eclecticism of this artist, beyond his famous IKB (International Klein Blue). Born in Nice, Klein admired the Mediterranean sky and saw it as the source of his inspiration. For him, ‘painting is COLOUR’, and colour takes on a spiritual and metaphysical dimension.
Tracing the artist’s career and his quest for the immaterial, the immersive exhibition unveils his first creations, his Monochromes, and over 90 works and 60 archive images, presenting visitors with the breadth, sensitivity and richness of the artist’s work.
